
The third opioid abatement grant cycle is making a measurable difference across New Hampshire. This round awarded $411,690 to 29 organizations supporting evidence-informed and community-driven initiatives designed to address the ongoing impacts of the opioid crisis.
The third responsive cycle drew significant interest. In total, the program received 58 applications. The selected proposals demonstrate strong alignment with the program’s strategic priorities and reflect the full continuum of care, including prevention, treatment, harm reduction, recovery, and community capacity building.

Together, these awards will strengthen critical services. They will also expand access to supports, and advance local solutions tailored to the needs of New Hampshire communities.
“This third responsive grant cycle shows the depth of commitment across our state to addressing the opioid crisis in practical, community-centered ways,” said Shannon Swett, Chief Impact Officer at Granite United Way. “These funds are helping organizations respond to real needs on the ground, whether that means expanding recovery supports, strengthening prevention strategies, improving outreach, or building workforce capacity. The strength of this program is that it allows resources to move closer to the people and communities most impacted.”
